These are the stories of a town called Thirsty, a dusty, deserted mining town with enough scandal and true old-West color to delight any Western fan. They are exuberantly told by a young boy who has heard them many times over at his grandfather's knee. He recreates the characters as vividly as if they were alive to tell their own tales, and they get themselves into the most spectacular messes as the story of Thirsty's loves and woes unfolds.
