Salem was a rich town in a rich territory, and it all belonged to Neal Shute. He had won Salem with his fists and guns, and he ruled it in the same way. That is until the drifter, Pete Dannifer, came to town. First he disappeared with the girl, Tammy, for days, then he tried to take over Shute's empire. Only one thing would satisfy Shute now -- to kill Dannfer with his own bare hands.
