While driving two lovelorn mail-order brides from Denver, Obadiah Gump is attacked by five rifle-wielding Apache braves. Fortunately for the three travelers, John Slocum happens to be passing by, on his way to deliver some horses. After the braves are gone, Slocum learns that the wagoner and his precious cargo are headed for the same town: Deadfall.
