Gourmet night: The cream of society shows up for a special dinner at Fawlty Towers. Unfortunately, the chef is hopelessly plastered, and it's up to Basil to deliver a gourmet menu or lose his meal ticket.

Waldorf salad: An outspoken American guest demands a level of service quite unavailable at Fawlty Towers. The kitchen can't supply a Woldorf Salad and Basil is barely able to keep from screaming "Yankee Go Home".

The kipper and the corpse: When a guest dies in his sleep, everyone assumes he's been killed by the kippers served at breakfast. Basil's only concern is concealing the corpse so the other guests don't panic-but the body winds up everywhere.
