This publication is a reference document which provides year-end statistics for 31 occupational groups of health care practitioners for the years 1982 to 1992. The statistics have been drawn from a wide range of sources, including professional associations, Statistics Canada, commercial companies, and educational institutions. The statistics provide ratios of population per health care practitioner, where these ratios are based on revised population estimates published by Statistics Canada in September 1993.
