Jay McGraw is on the run in Arizona territory. Falsely accused of murder, he's broken out of jail and is in hiding, working at the McPherson ranch. However, he discovers that there's more to his job than breaking wild horses. He learns to be fast in the face of cattle rustling, bloody feuds, and ruthless outlaws--fast as "lightning".
