Summary:
Reinhard HÞohn (1904-2000) is the archetype of the intellectual technocrat in the service of the Third Reich. A jurist, he stands out for the radical nature of his reflections on the progressive disappearance of the State in favor of the "community" defined by race and its "living space". A brilliant official of the SS - he ended the war like OberfÞuhrer (general) - he fed the Nazi reflection on the adaptation of institutions to the Great Reich to come - what structures and what reforms? Returning to civilian life, he soon created in Bad Harzburg a management training institute which, over the decades, welcomed the economic and business elite of the Federal Republic: some 600,000 executives from the main German companies, without counting 100,000 registered. in distance training, have learned, thanks to its seminars and its many successful manuals, the management of people. to choose the means to be applied. This was exactly the policy of the Reich to rearm, starve the Slavic populations of the eastern territories, exterminate the Jews. After the 1980s, other models will take over (Japanese, for example, less hierarchical). But Nazism was a great managerial moment and one of the matrices of modern management.
