The discovery of a mysterious, fabulous emerald leads to murder when intruders break into the home of a dear friend of archaeologist Faye Longchamp, leaving him dead among the remains of other artifacts, but when Faye launches her own investigation, she discovers that her field notes are also missing, and that they may hold the key to solving the crime.
