This is the fourth report dedicated to recommending conservation requirements for groundfish stocks in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The first section sets out general conservation measures and recommendations dealing with the Gulf ecosystem. The second section provides stock-by-stock recommendations for cod, American plaice, witch flounder, Greenland halibut, white hake, Atlantic halibut, winter flounder, and yellowtail flounder. For each stock, a general perspective describes an overview of the fish population, fishery, and trends. This is followed by a stock analysis, a view of the stock status, and conservation recommendations.
