Our food community has recently lost a dear friend and mentor, Marie Nightingale. Her book, Out of Old Nova Scotia Kitchens, is the single most influential cookbook in my life... Marie's book was the first to teach us about our own culinary past and celebrate the flavours of our province... It is my dearest hope that she would be happy with this collection that aims to build on what she had started over 40 years ago.
