Alfred Lambert is steadily losing his fight to control his Parkinson's disease, whilst his wife Enid feels that her choices in life are diminishing. Their three grown children all have their own disasters to face, but in spite of everything, Enid is determined to bring the family together for one perfect Christmas together.
