Julia fills her void from the tragic loss of husband and child with the routine of running Peach Orchard Inn in Honey Ridge, Tennessee. While doing renovations on the inn, Eli, an ex-con with a motherless son, finds letters from the Civil War period that give them the courage to face the past and embrace the future.
