Dude McQuinn had tried hard to give up the risky and dangerous life of an itinerant quarter horse racer, but a letter from a one-time partner was more than he could resist. Dude set out after his old pals and finally caught up with them just as they were fleeing an irate sheriff, furious at having lost a racing bet - all the more because his friends had taken a few shady "precautions" to insure their horse's "win."
