A woman locked in cold storage by a killer uses a minicomputer to e-mail for help in this mystery romance. She is Desdemona Wainwright, a Seattle caterer who is left with unpaid bills and melting swans of ice when a wedding reception is cancelled. The compensation is the jilted bridegroom, Sam Stark, a rugged computer man so handsome it scares her. He hires her to cater for his company, there is a murder, she hires him to prove a stepbrother innocent, and both live dangerously.
