Fifteen years after the events told by AurÔelie, my sister, AurÔelie is going to visit Charlotte, who is a sculptor and who lives in Italy. In this sun-drenched studio, AurÔelie finds Charlotte on a war footing. She is busy furiously carving a huge piece of marble. She struggles with her art and with an academic determined to explain her work. These three days in Tuscany bring Charlotte back to the three great battles of her life: her creation, her father and the women massacred by unjust laws.
