Five years earlier, Grace Hammond wouldn't marry Pete Marsh, a mere cowhand. But now Pete, a prosperous rancher, has returned. However, a range war rages between Hammond, Grace's father, and his rival, Dyson. Hammond wants Dyson jailed and Pete agrees to join the fight. Then Dyson's top gun is sent out to finish Pete, who has been sworn in as deputy. He is the law and must bring the killers to justice, and face his own destiny.
