Stella Burry (1897-1991) was a Newfoundlander born in Greenspond, Bonavista Bay. She became an deaconess in the United Church, and was the founder of many of the social programs and agencies still offered by Stella Burry Community Services, a leading social services agency in St. John's, Newfoundland. Using interviews, photographs and archival footage, this warm and funny documentary gives an insight into the history and personality of this extraordinary woman.
