Mary, an 11-year-old girl from a poor rural community in Northern Ireland, has big dreams of becoming a racing driver. When the local rich big-wig decides to build a go-kart racetrack, Mary dares to compete in the male-dominated sport against the wishes of her parents, her school, and the community.
