Sun Valley sheriff Walt Fleming's budding relationship with Fiona is strained by her avoidance of media attention for her part in a river rescue. Fleming also receives a request for help from legendary Seattle homicide detective Lou Boldt (another Pearson series lead). He soon learns of a possible link between his community and a Seattle murder.
