When a beautiful, young New York widow, daughter of the late ranch king Jeb McCandless, finds an unknown corpse on her living-room floor, her lawyer moves her to the exclusive Beaumont Hotel where manager Pierre Chambrun takes a sympathetic interest in her. Corpses continue to surface, however, and it seems that she must either be a monster or that someone is trying to frame her.
