Passage – the name of this book is two-fold: Passage was the town in Ireland where our ancestors left for the New World. They paid for a ‘place’ or berth on dilapidated ships travelling west to seek better living and working conditions. Secondly, it reflected the memories of our students and staff of Brother Rice High School, in St. John’s. The school closed in 1999. It was a Passage - a journey for us all.
