When her parents run into difficulties running their boarding kennels, Rachel Collington decides to resign from her job and return home to help out. The first customer she encounters is arrogant Philip Milligan, who is nowhere near as friendly as his two collies. Gradually though, he begins to thaw - but just as Rachel is wondering if she has misjudged him, it seems that someone is intent on sabotaging the kennels' reputation.
