Megan never liked Christmas. The season reminded her of everything she couldn’t have and everything she’d lost. She doesn’t think the season can get any worse until her car breaks down on a lonely road on a dark night with a snowstorm brewing. Luckily, Rome comes her way just in time as panic had started to set in to save her from the storm. Rome has no interest in Christmas himself, he has never experienced the true meaning of Christmas growing up and he sure wasn’t looking forward to this time of year. Things take an awkward turn for the worst in the rescue attempt, which ends up leaving them both stranded and in need of shelter quickly before the snowstorm comes. For them both, this was another bad Christmas experience, stranded with a stranger. As the two shelter from the storm, they begin to realize just how similar they are, not much family, a disliking for Christmas and both lonely. A friendship and attraction begins to bloom. With that attraction, it has them both looking at Christmas and life a lot differently for the first time in years, but with this newfound festively good feeling comes a lot of baggage and surprises along the way. Can two wounded souls have their first Merry Christmas? Will it be a time of year they can finally look forward too? Or will secrets and surprises tear them apart?
