Summary:
Milton Layte has often wondered if it's better to be a jack of all trades or a master of one. He says he considers himself to be a jack of all trades and, most importantly, a husband and father. He went to work as a logger at age sixteen, and went on to excel in trades that included heavy-equipment operator, tractor trailer operator and mechanic. A man of great ambition with a burning desire to succeed, he progressed rapidly as an entrepreneur, becoming owner or part owner of a pulpwood harvesting operation, an apartment building, a shopping mall, and, eventually, a Honda dealership in Gander and two Hyundai dealerships. one in Gander, where he still lives, the other in Grand Falls-Windsor. Born in Notre Dame Memorial Hospital in Twillingate, the only one of his ten siblings to be born in a hospital, Milton grew up in Birchy Bay, a small community in Notre Dame Bay.
