Canada's Spectacular Avalanche of Steel - an event at Collingwood, Ontario, on the southern shore of Georgian Bay. This awesome spectacle occurs twice each year when a 9,000 ton steel-hull vessel is side-launched from atop a building berth into a narrow basin of water.
