Author Don Blackmore is writing the story, biography, of his grandfather, Captain John Hann Blackmore, who was born and raised in a Newfoundland outport, and went to sea at a very early age, fishing with his family. He later became a master shipbuilder, and during the Second World War worked with the American Army in Greenland, delivering supplies and people as well.
