Officer Dare Barron has adored Liza McKnight since they were teenagers. Despite his lifelong attraction, he's only interacted with her when Liza has had to regularly bail out her brother at the station. But suddenly Liza needs protection and Dare appoints himself as the man for the job. There is a great attraction between them, but the past history with Liza's brother might make it impossible.
