David Blackwood, one of Canada's greatest contemporary printmakers. A Newfoundlander by birth and spirit, Blackwood's work powerfully recalls the experiences and memories of Wesleyville, where he was born, and the outport sealer's harsh, dangerous way of life now vanished. Scenes of Wesleyville, examples of his masterfully crafter prints, and Blackwood's step-by-step explanation of his printmaking process round out this film of many parts.
