Nothing is going well for Pascale, an artists' agent. Her lover, a singing star and above all her most important client, has let her down. Jules, his lifelong competitor, now takes care of his career. To avoid bankruptcy, Pascale goes to a song festival in Charlevoix to meet the famous Francis Roy. Without explanation, the latter left the stage in full glory and the agent wants to convince him to start singing again, and of course to sign a contract with her. But the young woman discovers that Jules also went there, apparently for the same reasons. The two rivals then engage in a series of ordeals to help Francis overcome his onstage anxiety attacks, the cause of his sudden retirement.
