Two burglars, Sergej and Polde, steal a valuable painting. By coincidence, Sergej also steals a document that dates back to World War II and may hide secrets the owner of the painting desperately wants to keep hidden. As the two burglars begin to discover the diabolical origins of the painting and its relationship to the document, they realize it may be too late for them as a hitman has already been hired to recover the painting.
