"The history of Bell Island dates back to the 1500's. It was the discovery of iron ore in the 1800's which created the permanent settlement of the island. Another Time, Another Place contains historic still photographs and black and white film footage as well as recent colour video. It gives a historical perspective of the island and follows the development of the mining industry from its beginnings in 1895 to its closure in 1996.
