Three years ago, Veronica 'Ronnie' Miller was crushed to learn that her parents were getting a divorce and that her father was moving from New York City to Wilmington, North Carolina. Now, seventeen-year-old Ronnie is still bitterly detached from her father. However, when she is sent to Wilmington to reconnect with him over summer vacation, she discovers that he has moved on with his life and is now engrossed in an important art project.
