When Sister Patty Henden meets a handsome american tourist, the attraction is mutual. Dane, however, has to leave the next day on a one-year European lecture tour. Communication between committed surgeon and busy nurse is difficult as Dane moves from place to place, and Patty begins to feel that the relationship is doomed.
