I remember loving him so much it hurts. Who is he? This is the question Jennifer Eveleigh asks herself when her memory partially returns and she remembers loving a man who is a stranger to her. What makes it worse is she is living with Jase Collins, and she loves him too! Jennifer and Jase meet and fall in love, pretty much at first sight. It would have been a fairy-tale romance if Jennifer hadn’t been engaged to Sam. Obviously that situation has to be resolved, and it is, but not before Jennifer and Jase end up sharing some passionate nights together in her house beside the Atlantic Ocean in eastern Newfoundland. When circumstances finally allow Jennifer to break up with Sam, who lives an hour away, Jennifer and Jase are excited to be able to finally move on with their life together, but she hits a moose with her car, and ends up with broken bones, a severe concussion, and amnesia. Jase brings Jennifer back home and nurses her back to physical health, but her amnesia persists. Although her brain refuses to remember Jase, her body remembers her response to him, so with a little encouragement from Jase, she falls in love with him all over again, and it appears that they will be able to resume their romance. Then the memories start. The man at the centre of all of them is not Jase or Sam, but Jennifer knows she is wholeheartedly in love with him. How can that be when she loves Jase? With a little digging, which coincidently involves Jase’s previous love interest, they discover that the man in the memories is Greg, Jennifer’s high school sweetheart. They had lived together during her last year of university while he was in medical school, but had broken up when Greg had cheated on her. Jennifer couldn’t remember the pain of the betrayal, only that she loved Greg deeply. What will she do?
