The Paiutes were a peaceful people. But the Bannock, a fierce tribe of horse Indians who shared the Sand Ridge Reservation with them, were trying to enslave their less warlike brothers. Even worse, the Bannock were working hand in glove with the corrupt Indian agent, Mike Harbert. Fleeing from this cruel oppression, the Paiute cheif, Red Hand, leads his people from the reservation. In desperation, he asks Easy Campany to escort them to their original home.
