Quest for the sea is the story of two families that travel back in time to experience life as it was in the outport of Hay Cove circa 1937. Life is this small community is full of challenges, especially for a 14-year-old headstrong girl under the thumb of a 75-year-old grandmother. The men compete for fish and the hired hand eats more than he produces. Tensions rise and personalities clash as the pressure builds to catch the fish needed to pay back the crushing debt owed to the local merchant.
