Summary:
Mussel farming. Mussel farming, or aquaculture in general, is not a typical occupation in a Newfoundland fishing community. A visit to Cottrell's Cove in Notre Dame Bay enables us to see what it is all about.
Ice fishing. Ice fishing could be gill netting through the ice near shore or the offshore northern cod fishery. Fisherman of Princeton, Bonavista Bay describe their winter fishery which is their prime source of income. Also discussed is ice fishing for smelt on Lake Melville.
