Summary:
Harold Small-landsman. -- Small is one of the most successful fisherman in the White Bay area. In winter, he goes to the ice to participate in the landsman's seal hunt. The program covers one trip and then attends the sealing conference held in Baie Verte to try and decide the fate of these landsman and their seal hunt.

Two voyages to the Ice : sealing past and pesent. -- First we go back to the voyages of the Polar Explorer with Captain Frank Puddiser and sealer Winston Fowlow. Then, we travel further back into the past to learn the tragic tale of the Newfoundland Sealing Disaster of 1914 as recalled by the late Cecil Mouland.
