Shanghai Beach in the 1920s was a legally gray area. The law enforcement forces of all parties gathered here, the scope of the paintings, and the local gangs where the dragons and snakes were mixed and omnipresent. American professional lawyer Gu Shengying and his young nephew, Luo Zhong, the inspector of the Shanghai public concession patrol house, were involved in the struggle against the infamous Shanghai Beach Gang leader: Xue Hongqi because of his willingness to act.
