Summary:
Sir P.T. McGrath -- Newfoundland's dispute with Quebec over Labrador can still make news headlines. In 1927, the British Privy Council ruled on that dispute with P.T. McGrath playing a key role in presenting Newfoundland's case. Looks at some of the strategies he used plus a plot for selling Labrador for fifteen million dollars.

Sir Robert Reid -- The greatest single event in Newfoundland's economic history was probably the building of the trans-island railway. It also led to eventual financial collapse as the ambitious scheme wrecked both government and the career of the Canadian-Scottish millionaire who had agreed to build it for $15,000 per mile.
