The battle between the statues and gargoyles of the city rages, and twelve-year-old George Chapman and his friend Edie are caught in the middle. Having barely survived her encounter with the Walker, Edie is on a mission. And there is only one thing that matters to her now: revenge. Meanwhile, the clock has struck thirteen. Time has frozen. The city's inhabitants have mysteriously disappeared, and snow piles up in the streets. George is now sure that his destiny is inextricably linked to the Walker's destruction.
