Summary:
Bay Bulls -- has the distincion of being the most ravaged community in Canada since it was constantly used as a staging area for the French attacks on nearby St. John's. As many as seventeen wrecks lie underwater. One, the British frigate Sapphire, was scuttled there in 1696.

Port Union - Sir William Coaker, determined to restore dignity to the fishermen of Newfoundland, created this town as a commercial rival to St. John's. For almost a century, it was the centre of the salt fish export trade. narrates the story of a town built to satisfy one man's deams.
