Jeff Ryan knew he was in for plenty of trouble when he saw that the cargo in the wagon train he'd agreed to lead from Kansas to Colorado was a group of pretty young women. He'd had some difficult people in the trains he'd guided across the plains before. Surely, he could get these ladies to Colorado safely -- his future depended on it. But even before he got going, three masked men charged at him. He was sure they meant to kill him when suddenly, he heard one of the riders call out. Don't kill him. We just want him to understand that he ain't going to Colorado. If he tries, he'll get worse than he got today.
