Summary:
A short biography retracing the career of Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, the first active football player in the NFL to have obtained his doctor's degree. As a child, his head was already teeming with projects and dreams, which the alternative school and his parents encouraged him to achieve, so much so that he was still in primary school when he discovered an entrepreneurial spirit by selling reindeer, then pesto concocted from basil he grew himself. Extraordinary experiences (including a few years spent traveling on a sailboat with his family) also nourished his adventurous spirit and instilled in him the importance of teamwork and a sense of responsibility while stimulating his interest in other cultures and new ways of thinking. Qualities and teachings that he will use a few years later to silence the gossips who claim that he will not be able to play football and study medicine in English at the same time. Through years of hard work, combined with the support of his family, friends, agent and university, he overcame these daunting challenges and achieved the goals he set for himself. This in addition to becoming a contemporary art collector and setting up a foundation that wants to help young people find a passion.
