Annie Dawson and the members of the Hook and Needle Club believe that Annie's find of an antiquated piece of embroidery in the attic of Grey Gables is, in fact, a map of Maine's coastline. As her friends help Annie track down the provenance of the piece, they uncover a swath of Stony Point history that has been long buried. Little does the group know that there might be a connection between the map and a terrible house fire that leaves a Stony Point family homeless. Even as she helps the family find a temporary home, danger seems to stalk Annie at every turn.
