Presents a straightforward case study of salmon farming in B.C., from collecting eggs and raising young salmon in hatcheries, through the daily routines of feeding the fish and cleaning the pens, to the processing and transportation of fish to market. Also examined are the issues of the impact of farming on water quality, disease control, genetic manipulation of fish, and the future of the traditional salmon fishing industry.
