A cat stars life as a blind, deaf, and hairless kitten. The kitten grows fur and teeth, and learns to walk and hunt. After six months, it is fully grown. Other mammals have a similar life cycle, but a platypus lays eggs and a newborn koala carries on growing in its mother's pouch.
