Visiting his grandparents, Charles admires Grandpa Ti-BÔe's sculpted pipe when the doorbell rings. It's Robidoux, the village beggar! A little apprehensive, the boy is surprised to see Grandma being so nice to this man who doesn't smell very good. We even offer him board and lodging! However, against all expectations, the evening is entertaining, because the beggar tells good stories and plays music. But the next morning, Grandpa's new pipe was gone. Charles thinks he knows the identity of the thief, but he will be surprised to learn the truth.
